
Holding a Combined Bachelor's and Master's Degree in International Law from Bocconi University, he is an insatiable learner, with profound interests spanning the intricacies of environmental ethics, nature's value, regenerative governance, and the complex relationships between these different realms. Joining the Sovereign Nature Initiative as its first member in late 2020, Alessandro has played a crucial role in shaping and cultivating a growing network of Ecological Steward organisations, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of important biodiverse ecosystem. Besides his full-time commitment as Head of Partnerships and Field Research at SNI, Alessandro is passionately committed to researching and employing best practices from both the legal, ecological and social sciences to navigate the complex terrains of human-wildlife coexistence, an inquiry he will be pursuing from 2024 as a Ph.D. project at Wageningen University School of Social Sciences.
